Where to go snow sledding and tubing in Munds Park
If you’re not from the area its easy to run into this problem. Luckily we’ve done the research for you and found a couple great locations for some winter fun in Northern Arizona near Munds Park and Flagstaff!
Flagstaff Snow Park (reservations required)
Great place to show up with nothing but your snow suit! Located just 3 miles south of Flagstaff, this winter wonderland has it all! Once you purchase your ticket(s), which includes a snow tube rental, you are set! This park offers groomed tubing runs for the adventurous as well as a designated kiddie hill, play areas, and even food and drinks are available for purchase. Still not enough? You can roast marshmallows at any of the outdoor fireplaces while warming up from all the wintry fun.
Things to note: Don’t wait till last minute to purchase tickets, these babies sell out!
This little gem came recommended from some locally, especially if you are looking for a last minute snow trip. A little over 3 and a half miles north of the Pinewood Blvd in Munds Park, you’ll find exit 326, Willard Springs Road. Take this exit west, and follow it all the way to the end of the road. Here, you’ll find some of the best areas to snow sled down a hill. Don’t let some of these short runs fool you. They’re sneaky and with a snow tube, they are a good time! This place also offers ample snow areas to play, build a snowman or just let loose with a heated snowball fight.
I would highly recommend finding a snow tube in place of the basic plastic sleds you see everywhere. Here’s one we found on Amazon.<<<link>>>
Things to note: There is no fee, no restrooms.
Don’t forget to book your stay at East Oak Cabin when you head up to play in the snow! A gorgeous log cabin in Munds park, with all the amenities of home.
