Munds park is a hop, skip, and a jump from the hustle and bustle. 2 hours or less from just about anywhere in the Phoenix area, yet a world apart. At 6,500 feet elevation, you’ll find an enjoyable outdoors wonderland, even in the heat of summer. Munds park is typically 25 degrees cooler than the valley. We also get to enjoy all four seasons up here in the mountains – Beautiful spring blooms, sunny summers with afternoon showers, stunning falls with changing colors, and of course winter snow!

Our family chose this cabin because it has a truly rustic feel, yet has all of the modern comforts and amenities. The natural wood finishes take you back to a simpler time, while the upgraded kitchen and cozy living area offers the creature comforts us city dwellers have come to expect. Watch Netflix from the leather couches, or watch the birds and squirrels play from the ample and relaxing front and side decks.

And if you’re up for a little adventure, Munds Park is close to it all!

Semi private golf course and country club are walking distance.
Agee’s BBQ, Italian dining, small town café, and a Borracho Saloon are all within walking distance as well
If you’re into UTV’s or off-roading, Munds Park offers abundance. Bring your own, or simply rent one for the day – right across the freeway. Once you’ve got the right set of wheels you can either head to the end of the neighborhood for MILES and MILES of forest road, or you can head 3 miles back down the I17 to ride the famed Schnebly Hill road – a 2 hour moderate off-roading trail that takes you straight to Sedona
If you’re into biking, hiking, BMX, frisbee golf, zip lining, and much more – Head 12 miles north on the I17 to Tuthill Park. A modern miracle of outdoor adventures all packed into one beautiful park!
If you’re looking for shopping, bars, restaurants, and/or nightlife you can head north on the I17 18 miles to Flagstaff for endless options
The Grand Canyon is also only 1.5 hours from the cabin
Plan a day trip to the artsy and uniquely beautiful town of Sedona by either heading south on the I17, or taking it north to travel down the windy 89A through Oak Canyon and into Sedona.
Take the I17 40 minutes north to Arizona Snowbowl for winter skiing and snowboarding, or summer hiking and biking.
